As the driving force behind Miramar Media,  ALT Allen has more than 20 years of experience in various facets of television production and public relations. A professional writer for news and documentaries, her hands-on experience also includes managing an assignment desk in a major market television newsroom, booking guests and developing story ideas for a Washington, DC-based television discussion program, and planning and implementing major promotional campaigns. She has had extensive experience in helping media start-up operations hit the ground running. While head of public relations at a private school, she produced a 30-minute video highlighting the school and its success. Her public relations activities and  the documentary were both pivotal in securing for the school the coveted National Blue Ribbon School Award from the U.S. Department of Education. Her bilingual skills in Spanish and English and her contacts within the Hispanic community of the nation's capital have enhanced Miramar Media's reach into this ever-growing minority group.

Recently, Allen has turned her attention to reaching another under-represented group. In a society that has been enamored with catering only to the needs and interests of the 18 to 34 year-old demographic group, she is intent on focusing some much needed attention on the largest segment of the American population...the Boomers...a group that Allen contends is "simply too big, too powerful, and too wealthy to be overlooked" by today's media and marketing managers.

A recent organ recipient, ALT Allen is now using her spare time to bring attention to and promote organ donation.
